2004-09-22 - The 2004 season comes to an end and a direction is chosen After a very uninspired performance at Collegiate Nationals due to personal issues I am very glad to be off the bike for a bit and getting serious in the gym for the first time since last February. In the past coach Lockwood has trained me as an all around track racer with little gym time and we have done fairly well as such but looking back at this last season and my oh so close to good results in a variety of different events in this summer's AVC races specifically, I know it's time to pick a focus and get real serious about it. And the winner is...... sprints, of course. I've loved sprinting since the first time I did a flying 200, I love the feeling of flying through the air at top speed as the world whizzes by, not to mention all the tactics, positioning and bumping of match sprints and keirin.
