2004-09-16 - Granny
Hazel J. Day was a very special person in my life. To me she was known as Granny, she took care of me in my childhood years while my Mom was busy working one of her many jobs she needed to work to support us. She always had many stories to tell, some funny, some sad and many that where bad enough to be quite shocking. Some of my clearest memories from my grade school yea More...

2004-07-27 - AVC Racing at Marymoor
Week number three of AVC racing in a row, this time only two days of racing (even though there was an unconnected day of racing at the track on friday) and on a much much bigger, flatter track. We started out with flying 200's where my new friends Keith Bruneau and David McElhaw threw down mid 11's, which is pretty damn fast time for that track, the rest of us fumbled ar More...

2004-07-19 - Alpenrose Velodrome Challenge
Wow, what a weekend.. Mike and Candi Murray have got to be some of the most dedicated race officials / promoters any where, They camped out at the track from some time Friday until late on Sunday and to my knowledge did not leave once, and they even got awaken from a nice nights sleep by the un-official naked kilo (which I was not invited to, and did not even know happene More...

2004-07-15 - AVC Racing in Canada
Last weekend I drove up to Victoria BC, for the Ron Marat Memorial Track Race. It was a great weekend of bike racing and snooping about a new town. The weather up there is a bit weird, always wanting to rain, but usually kinda sunny, but the people where all really nice every where I went and the percentage of cute girls mixed about the population was much higher then mos More...

2004-07-03 - Almost fun time
Starting next weekend I'll be doing 3 AVC races 3 weeks in a row, I'm really excited. I've been hanging around and racing at the Alpenrose velodrome in Portland, OR on and off for the last couple weeks and quite a few of the people I've been hanging out with there will be doing at least two of them as well not to mention the big names that will be traveling from all over More...

2004-06-30 - Snow ball fight!!! by myself.
Today I went on a great ride, a 3 hour out and back, where the out part takes 2 hours and 15 minutes and the back takes under 45. At the start of the ride in Bend, OR the weather was great 80 ish with a decent breeze, lots of cyclists heading hear and there and very few cars out on the high way, after climbing for 2 hours I had to pull over for an emergency action... The More...

2004-06-28 - Alpenrose Velodrome
This is not an advertisement just a well founded opinion, I have had the pleasure of racing a quite a few tracks in the last couple years and met many nice people all around, and the people at the Alpenrose Velodrome are by far the friendliest people in bike racing, hands down! And the track is just fun, definitely not fast, but very fun. If any of you are in the Portla More...

2004-05-07 - The Game
From time to time I find interesting little games to play on my easier rides just to keep things interesting. For example I've been playing the ex-girl friend game a lot lately (ex girlfriend for the sake of this game is defined as any thing between ladies I have at least gone out on a few dates with all the way to 3 year relationships). Before I explain the game you sh More...

2004-05-05 - Drugs
It seems like every where I go in this sport we call cycling everything always ends up on the topic of drug use. Almost every cyclist I have ever looked up to I have heard at least some what reliable rumors of them using performance enhancing drugs, and in some cases out right boasting of use. I have very big dreams and goals and plan on going as far as I can in this spo More...
