SensaDyne
The SensaDyne site was my first web development project, all the way back in 1999, Originally they wanted a clean professional web site to display their many different in-process, quality control and research level surface tensiometers. They also wanted to provide any easy way for potential customers to gain technical information about surface tension measurement methods and application notes for many different uses of surface tension. Last but not least they wanted to provide an easy way for visitors to the site to locate a SensaDyne representative.
Over the years since then they have added a few sections and made many updates to the list of representatives, which led them to the need for a basic content management system to allow them to make the changes to the representative list themselves. Originally the application notes and technical papers where acquired by the site users by submitting a form on the web page and then the staff of SensaDyne would mail the requested papers. So while the basic content administration system was being added we also scanned all the papers, added a user registration and login area and allow registered users to download the papers in pdf format. A logging system was added to the download area so that the staff could track which users have viewed which papers so that a representative near them can contact them with pertinent information.
